Ps2 Or Xbox In Glove Compartment

Recommended Posts

later this summer when I get my new headunit and screens in the headrests, I want to put a PS2 or XBOX in the glove compartment. I am just curious if anyone else has done this. I am leaning towards PS2 right now because of the slimmer profile, but just wanted to hear some input.

Who knows, maybe I'll go with PS3 or XBOX 360

XBox is the only way to go.

Hey, can anyone guess where Exexpat works? :P:lol:

Anyone know what the size of the game boxes are compared to the CD changer? I was thinking you might be able to use the CD changer bracket, but I think the XBox is wider than the changer.

But I'm not biased, just cheap. I refuse to shell out more than $20 or so per game. What about center console install, with the face of the hardware pointing to the back seat, flush mounted? Need to investigate this one a little more.

I am also planning on something like this end of summer. Xbox is definately the way to go. Put a mod chip in it and throw a 200+Gb hard drive in there and you have plenty of room for all your music/videos/movies/games, all loaded on the hard drive without having to worry about discs. Then you can use Xbox media center as well, which is an absolutely awesome media playing program.

I don't know anything about Xbox.. but PS2 doesn't fit in the glove box as is. You have to cut out part of the bottom/back to get it flush. Afterwords you'll only have a little space on the side. Check out the logitek wireless controllers, they're pretty nice. You can do an inverter, but there's a company that makes an in-car power supply mod that you swap into the unit. I forget the name but it works well, hit up google. Definitely check out Monster Cables for you A/V, IMO they're the best for the money.

A friend and I were maybe going to try to fab up the pass side "kick pannel" that's in front of your knees in glass with the PS2 pushed under all the wiring. If you want something like that we can build and finish(or not if you want to do it) something like that for you or anyone else. We've done it in another friend's s10 glove box and finished it in vinyl, it came out real stock looking other than the part where the CD drawr comes out of the dash. I have a couple pics if you want to check it out. Lemmie know if you're interested.
