AnthonyR
Lack of a hard drive is the deal breaker for the PS2, that and xbox is just better at graphics, look at any cross platform game and you will see ;)

Mastiha
I have converted my Glovebox to contain a DVD headunit, an AV input, a place to leave my Ipod which is connected to my main head unit and a switch that switches on an invertor in the back of the car where the XBox sits. Here is what it looks like:My Xbox is modded with a 200GB hard drive and runs Xbox Media Center. I also have forced the power button permanently on. This does not hurt the Xbox and I use the switch in the glove box to power the unit on and off.I use a Logitech wireless controller which also acts as a remote for Xbox Media Center without having to have an IR installed anywhere. In regards to GT4, why would you even consider it when Forza is out now. I've played both and, in my opinion, consider Forza to be the superior racer.
Seifer850
What are these mods that everyone keeps talking about?? And where would I go about gettin em?Is there anything you can change to make the Xboxes play burned cd's also? Maybe one of those mods takes care of it..
AnthonyR
A mod chip (ala xecuter or others) will allow you to play downloaded burned games on your xbox (but not on live)Also allows so many other things... :D

Bing_0
an xbox i dont think will come even close to fitting in the glovebox without some MAJOR hacking and custom work. What i would do, if the glove box is your only option, is to get the new, tiny ps2, put iton a slider tray, and install that in the box, that way, you can slide itout, pop the cover, put the game in, and slide it back in and play on.and yes, GT4 alone will always keep me into ps2, haha... b
Owned
The cd drawer should come out far enough that you don't need the extra slide out. Even with the slim PS2, unless it's shorter aswell, you might still have the depth issue so after cutting the face should still end up being basically on top of the inside face of the door when it's closed. It would still be neat to have it pull out if you're into that, but I don't think it's worth the extra fussing with the wires for it. Plus unless you use a slider with a stop in the fully closed possition it will slide itself towards the door and back with whatever space you have between there. Even if it's an inch you'll hear it knocking. You may feel differently about it though. One of the other ideas that we kicked around was in the inner most side of the pass foot well. It's just about the right height for a full size PS2 from the floor to the bottom of the dash. We did a ghetto velcro mock up and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. But that's another idea for you to maybe think about. If you go with that, you should finish the unit or do some custom glass over it to blend it in more (plus you could stealth an inverter behind it) and finish it with whatever interior you have. It ended up not taking a whole lot of room away from the pass foot space and running the wires from there to my AV brain would have been a wicked breeze. Gregg
my plan was for the original PS2 because of the slide out tray mechanism.Dimensions (approx.):301 x 78 x 182 mm (w/h/d)(12 x 3-1/8 x 7-1/4 inches) Has anyone done any measuring to see if this fits in the glove compartment? If not, I will head out to do some measuring tomorrow.
Owned
PS2 doesn't fit in the glove box as is. You have to cut out part of the bottom/back to get it flush. Afterwords you'll only have a little space on the side.←I didn't know the slim one doesn't have a tray, I'm not into the latest gaming trends, obviously. I've never even held an xbox controller come to think of it. I suppose you could push bumps into the rails of the slider with an awl or even a philip's head if it didn't have one, to keep it from knocking on the door.
