Errático boost pressure

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been having a problem with my 2.4t v70 for a while, when I get close to 5,500 rpm in 4 full gear the turbo pressure becomes erratic, starting to drop from 1.2 bars to 0.8 and then go up and then go down etc. .. it always does it around the same rpm, if I change to 5 gear it returns to its normal pressure, in fifth gear I have not been able to test it because at 5,500 rpm or 5,800 it would be something like 260 km / h, it has ever done it in third gear, but above all it is in 4, and always in the same rev range, I have a 16t and RICA update, I have tried changing the tcv, I bought the original and a porsche one, I also exchanged the relief valve from the 13t to the 16t, none of that worked, I hope you can help me

Hello, thank you very much for answering so quickly, the hoses that connect to the tcv are new made of silicone, I am not sure if any hose from the pcv system could cause that problem, what surprises me is that it is always at the same revolutions, let me explain, If it were a vacuum leak, I would also have pressure problems at other rpm, if I load the accelerator to the maximum from 2,500 to 5,500 I can get 1.2 / 1.3 bar, but from 5,500 rpm the dance begins, could it be a lack of gasoline? or maybe a bad tuning setting? Keep in mind that RICA sends the file to load it in the car without a test drive, although I think that the 16t configuration in an lpt is quite well known to them, a greeting

Hola !

Yo mismo tuve problemas con 16T en un LPT. El nivel más alto de impulso podría provocar golpes y el sistema se apaga para proteger el motor.

Ese podría ser tu problema ...

Hello, do you have reassigned ecu or stock?

¿Puedes cargar la melodía de stock? Si no lo hizo con la melodía de valores, puede haber un problema con la melodía de RICA.

Hello, in stock an lpt rises to a maximum of 0.6bar, I have not tried it, but I do not think that at 0.6 bar I have problems, anyway I will do all the possible tests

I'm thinking it is pulling ignition timing for some reason. It could be detecting excessive knock. How are you engine mounts? I've heard of those causing excessive vibrations, and in turn causing a similar problem to what you are experiencing.

Creo que está tirando del tiempo de encendido por alguna razón. Podría estar detectando un golpe excesivo. ¿Cómo están los soportes del motor? He oído hablar de los que causan vibraciones excesivas y, a su vez, causan un problema similar al que está experimentando.

The engine mounts are all new, the only thing I've noticed is that if I don't release the clutch pedal carefully, it hits, especially in low gears, but I don't know if it could have something to do with it, that could be another thread.
Another thing that I have noticed is that if I fully accelerate and step on the clutch pedal the rpm goes up a little just before releasing it again, the more load on the accelerator the more it goes up, I will try to upload a video, the clonk thing when releasing the pedal clutch is surely the box m56? Or could it be a poor quality motor mount?
