jwmerrill
Warning for top? What exactly is the problem here, your explanation was unclear.←I'm guessing he has a vert and the warning has something to do with the positiion of the top, either not fully retracted, or not completely up.jwm
Ron H
Warning for top? What exactly is the problem here, your explanation was unclear.←SorryThe warning chime and flashing light that indicates the top isn't fully latched. It will sound while cruising with the top closed or open for no apparent reason.I know there are a few sensors, but the wiring diagrams are about worthless in tracing the problem. starfish
The tops position is determined by inputs to the convertible top control module. The convertible top has a bunch of potentiometers and microswitches and when defective they need to be recalibrated to the module after repair with a Volvo service tool. Without the calibration tool, diagnosis could be lengthy and regaining full and proper use will be futile. To the best of my knowledge, this is a dealer repair item. Tripp Mcnealy
I would say its a calibration problem, especially, when you've been driving for awhile then it happens. Not at the beginning or end when putting it up or down. Cause it will beep/and flash at you till its in place. You can go about 1-3mph with the e-brake up just enough so the computer thinks it up, and still put it up or down.. but any faster than that will click motor off...FYI..
