burchs1
Anthony,I think the local Volvospeed members should throw you a party or take you out to dinner, etc. for your efforts when you are done. Great job! So I guess this is a call out to MN Volvospeed members!-Scott
andrewclee
Great job! Did you remove the trans with the motor still in the car? If so, the reason I ask is because I need to change my RMS, but was told that motor and trans come out at the same time. Thanks

Fairly straitforward.

Most bolts are pretty easy to access although there are a couple hard to reach, but none impossible.
AnthonyR
I hope this will be done by sunday, although now I found out my slave cylinder that came with the kit is wrong (which is fine, I can use the stock setup for that)But if that is wrong, maybe the kit is wrong? I dunno, I never got a flywheel from volvosaabparts (gonna call them today) so i have no way to see if pressure plate I have bolts up.

jroot
I should be doing this swap next weekend, doesn't seem to hard after reading everything plus I'll have help from a mechanic since afterall the automatic tranny he put in my car is dying already after a few months!! Paid $1300 total at first..then now that it's slipping, I decided I want a manual swap and he's ok with it!So I found the parts for $500(he paid of course) all together (Transmission has 30k on it) and now just waiting And if you are wondering where I got my parts from, well I just found a local junkyard that happen to have what I want. So I got lucky. But if other people plan on doing this, I'd first look around locally see if you can find a Manual setup on your own before going with erievolvo or the saabvolvo place.
