The end of the white is ~ 1bar/14psi or so. Im running only 12-14psi on mine right now due to insercurities about CA gas (till I get the wideband/knocksense done). Plus, I haven't had a chance to finish up my gauges :*(

what chip are you on? I seem to recall SpeedTuning...right?

I have the BSR Stage III ecu, RRFPR, 3" downpipe, 3" race cat, 3" cat back with two mufflers, EST intake and complete stage 0 (except for walbro waiting for install) and I do NOT see past the end of the white.

I was also told that it should be 18psi. But with the stock conical 15g, whats the point of 18psi anyway? Isn't that well outside the range of efficiency?

The only thing I have left to add would be my Atech I/C. I know that will help some, but not *that* much.

my Defi gauges have been waiting patiently for me to install them. I've been putting other stuff in front like trans cooler, axles, hubs and brakes. Soon though...

If you have the stock conical 15g and the stock bcs, you will most likely not see past 14 psi at redline, those turbos are prone to cracking which can cause boost leaks. I would find a 16t exaust housing to bolt on there if i were you, with that you should see some nice boost figures.

if u are not seeing 18psi then something is wrong...could the bypass valve on the turbo, actuator or something else but i know that a lot of people with stage III BSR can get 18psi on that chip...it will do it

also if you knock sensors are bad...you'll get boost retard for sure

Be careful about thinking more boost = more power. With a CAI, Chip and Cat back and Upgraded Intercooler I'm making between 16-17 psi of boost with spikes of up to 19 psi. The car definitely starts losing performance after 17 psi. I'm not sure if it is pulling timing or running out of fuel since i'm not logging it, but that extra psi does not translate into extra power. I was hoping the ECU wouldn't allow spikes that bad, but with all the custom parts I'm not suprised a standard reflash can't exactly keep up.

His biggest problem right now is he hasn't installed the downpipe.  That will give him more boost

Andrew is talking about Slater. I have the downpipe like I mentioned. I'm not dissapointed in my BSR setup at all. I think its excellent and pulls very hard. I was just saying that I don't see past the end of the white like people are talking about. And having not yet put on my boost gauge (really, there is no excuse for this...well, I do have two kids in the middle of baseball season...does that count?) so I don't know exactly the boost numbers. Just not past the end of the white.

I know the 15g is defintely limited which is why I questioned even going to 18 psi to begin with. Since its out of the efficiency range of that turbo. I do think my Atech will help some but not a tremendous amount.

I'm in the process of upgrading my turbo right now actually (with the help of EricF, thanks again for the hard work) to a .48 trim turbine and .60 trim compressor. I'm hoping with that turbo to see quite an improvement in boost.

I'm also planning to replace my knock sensors while installing knocksense like lots of folks are doing recently. Along with my wideband I should have a good read on whats going on.

Just weighing in on the BSR setup since I'm running it, happily.

I have a new 16T in a box waiting to go on, but I'm gonna need a remap as the 15G map won't work for the 16T.

Don't worry, I don't think that.

I can't control what BSR put into the chip - they chose 18psi, not me. I did choose BSR though because it's supposedly the best chip available and I got a really good deal on it.
