n00b question time :

These are sway-bar end links ... The bits that connect your sway-bars to the car. From what i can gather, the links are almost more important than the bar itself, as they are more likely to bend?

With my stock R sway-bar, will these links make a big diff? My front end rolls around all over the place, even with the Konis

yes they will! the std link rods are rubbish and only tend to last <50K

I had to replace link rods on the last 3 fwd volvos ive owned (480, 850 t5 and 850r). I also find the rods last even less if your front shocks are knackered as they have to do more work as the car will roll more with worn shocks.

Ok, I don't pretend to know much, and this is the first I've heard about end links... But they've got my attention. My question, as a shady-tree mechanic, could I install these myself, will I know how to adjust them, and will I need to do anything special like realignment, etc... once they're on.

Mine is a 854R, stock struts/etc... getting IPD springs this week, factory anti-sway bars. Please let me know if I'm forgetting anything

It's easy to install - all you need is a jack and basic hand tools (a socket and wrench in a few sizes). That's it. I provide detailed instructions that walk you through the process from start to finish, including setting the links. It's VERY easy - will take you about an hour the first time. I can do it now in about 20 minutes.

No you will not need an alignment. Just plug and play!

No, or should i say not yet. It does have the apparently shorter R springs ... but I dunno how much if any difference there is.

Seeing as i'm on 180k, maybe it's time. Is it possible to get these things to me?
