850r Off Roadin'

Well it all went to hell fast. I think I did a 180 to the left then hit the edge of the road and the right rear went flat then I did a 180 around to the right in the green and came to rest in the poison oak near a culvert.

I was thinking I had f*** it up big time.

So I can't pull it out with my Dodge 1500 4X4, call AAA he comes out and takes a look "this truck can't pull it out I will have to use the medium truck (AAA not covering it)". So he comes back with CHP to help close the road to pull it out. He says he has been chewed out to often for not calling them. He drags the car up onto the road, the right rear is flat, I check under the hood, and it starts right up I roll it to a pull out take the dangeling plastic off change the tire and drive in home.

Here are the tires from the side that hit the dirt first.

I was quite amazed there was not more hurt by the crash

I LOVE VOLVO'S

Sorry to hear about this man :( It's been a bad month for Volvos, but a good month for people.

Mind if I ask what happened? :( Sorry again.

now if you are going to go off roading like that you need to jack that car up get some good 32'' tires up under it, unhook the sway bars and put a winch on the front and back :D

Glad to hear you walked away and all the damage was pretty much cosmetic

My car is out of commission for exactly the same reason right now except I got cut off by an idiot in a truck and whoever thinks that a FWD can't oversteer is wrong. I have the skid marks to prove it. Jeff (PriReb03) saw it happen too. I didn't get it so bad though. Only need new radiator, fix one bent rim, busted lower torque arm mount, and that front lower plastic guard thing. No cosmetic damage. I would've mentioned it earlier, but didn't want to look like an jerk that can't drive. Now we can both look like asses together :) .

Looks like fun. Thank god that there wern't any large trees in the way. Damage doesn't seem too bad. Did you get a ticket or anything? If not, it looks like all you'll have to pay for is a new tire and bumper and fog light and anything I missed. Glad to hear you're alright.

THERE THE SHOTS ARE RESIZED Sorry I was sort of disturbed at the time.

There where two CHP that showed up in one car one male one female. The female officer was in charge and asked me if I wanted a report made, I asked to hold off till we see the damage. Once we where out on the road and I had it started up I said no thanks and they left (they had just been on a big rig roll over and had to get back to the office to write up that one).

I think all I need is a front-end alignment and to tape up my air dam and I will be good to go for Thunder Hill. I won’t be making it to Davis this year I have a job that’s come up that weekend. I had really wanted to go and help Lee out but I guess not this year.

It's been raining for the last two days, it cleared some this morning and I got some shots of the scene.

Here is my launch point.
