tallahasseegreys
I'm out of town, and my wife calls and says the TRACS light is on. I've searched the repair section of bay13, but all it discusses is what to do when the TRACS/ABS light is on. My wife says that the only light on is TRACS, and she says the ABS light is not on. Any ideas???

PorBleemo
TRACs should be on by default when the car is under 30mph, but the light should not be light. I have one car with TRACs and the light is always off. I usually comes on if there is a fault with the system or if the TRACs button was pressed to disable the system. Bay13
Depending on the year and model, the tracs button does different things. On my car I have to turn it on. On some cars you have to turn it off. So the others advice to check the switch to see if thats the cause of the light is the most correct 1st thing to look at. If the switch position doesn't solve the problem then the codes should be read to see whats up.
KLS
I get the ABS/Tracs light on intermittently, sometimes just six or eight times every other year.Anybody have a suggestion of what to check the next time it comes on? Wheel sensor?Ken
tallahasseegreys
Yeah, I had her check the tracs switch, and it was not on. When she got in the car after work, the light TRACS light was not on any more and hasn't come on again. So thanks for the responses everyone...I'll see if any codes were thrown when I get home.
