Hilton
I replaced my front left cv boot this weekend, and painted the calipers and center of the rotors. While I was reassembling everything, I broke one of the clips that holds the front caliper tight. This piece looks like a coat hanger bent into an interesting shape. This works out well, because I've got a lot of coat hangers. Not only do none of the local parts places carry this piece, but they can't even get it.Beck/Arnley084-1361USA Brake15677Bendix#5889I'll try the dealer tomorrow. I wonder how long my "Southern Engineering" homemade part will last.Has anyone else had to deal with this?
Bay13
I've know those springs to be left off and nothing bad happen, maybe a little noise. They keep the pad from coming too far to the rear. The Volvo part number is 3546381

Hilton
Good LORD! The dealer wants $10.92 plus tax. FOR ONE! I think I'll stick with the bent coat hanger solution until I can find one cheaper. It's the principle of the matter.
