Zulu
Is anyone aware of a LSD for the S70 besides this $2000+ one?http://www.samsteffansson.se/products/index.asp?id=998If not, anyone know if that LSD is good?

Swedish Mike
I can highly recommend LSD, big difference. You can actually floor it AND steer in corners. You will also gain a lot from start, 0-60 and things like that. You can feel a BIG difference between the stock M59 LSD and a "plate" LSD like AP and Quaife./Mike

Why is my hand pink???OK, ja, anyways... Mike, for those of us lacking fat wallets, do you think that the M59's LSD is a good improvement versus the non LSD setup in the M56? The way I assume, M56 is more suited towards drag type racing (It can hold more power, ja?) and M59 is better suited to the track (where power isn't everything). Would you say that is correct Mikey? Zulu
The S70 is stock M56 correct? So open-diff. I'd have to change out the tranny?

You might want to try and give them a call about it. I priced out the Kalmar Union LSD about a week ago and without shipping its around $1100-1300 USD. I swapped to that gearbox in my first 850, loved it.But you can´t compare it to a real LSD, the M59 can´t hold the same torque in corners. The visco part in M59 is pretty weak but the rest of the box is M56./Mike

Kibim
The visco part in M59 is pretty weak but the rest of the box is M56.←Yeah. i have noticed that when i stress my LSD out on a track, it does let me down once in a while. Get some inside wheel tire-smoke. It is however unbelievably different to my 850 which didn't have an LSD ... cornering speed is completely incomparable, and exit speed, well, i now have speed. Unfortuantly, i can't help you with the price ... mine came with the car :)

Kibim
Good luck finding an R axle. It was an S70R thing only as far as i know. The V70R's were AWD.
