pwebb
Mine seems to be impossible to remove. Does it just pull up and out like the oil dipstick? Or is there some sort of trick to it.
Guest AlvinL
Must have been a while since you last checked, huh? A little twist and jerk should do it.
Bay13
Once you get it out, lubricate the o ring thats on the dip stick and it will come out easier.

Guest Guest
On my 03 XC70 there is a piece of spring metal that holds the transmission dipstick in place. You put finger pressure on the metal clip to push it away from the dipstick & you can then easily pull out the dipstick. I don't know if this applies to your car. pwebb
I am pulling as hard as I can. I honestly feel like I am going to break the stupid thing into pieces. >_<
Guest AlvinL
Twist it around to break the seal and pull it straight out. Pull it sideways and it may break. Put some muscle into it!!!! It'll come... :o
