Tom
I'm getting ready to change the evaporator in my '94 850 wagon (Auto trans, N/A, manual climate control), and I see in the Haynes manual that the radio needs to come out and that a sepcial Volvo tool is needed for that. Anybody familiar with this step? Can the radio be either left in, or removed without getting special tools? Thanks for any assistance,Tom

MrWinkey
Tom ...you do realize that replacing the evap means making the firewall basically buttcrack naked right to the firewall...and your asking how to pull the radio? Not to mention pulling air bag modules etc?...I'm not saying you can't do it? being that I don't know your skills?....just trying to make you aware of what kind of job it is! ;)
Guest Guest_NateB_*
Yah- the evaporator is one hell of a job ! If you are asking how to pull the radio - you are in for quite an ordeal. My advice - pay the $1,300 and have a good indy Volvo mechanic relieve you of the agony :D
