slarti Posted June 28, 2005 Report Share Posted June 28, 2005 My dads 95 850 turbo wouldnt start after a day of sitting in the sun on a 95+ degree day.The battery seemed fine, it would crank but not start.The fuse for the fuel pump is good. I check the valve at the end of the fuel rail and nothing came out. I then check fuel lines before and after the fuel filter and nothing came out either. Then next morning it started right up with no problem. The fuel pump was replaced last summer so I Dont think it could be that.My question is, can the heat prevent the relay from functioning correctly? Are there any other things I should look at? jda2000 Posted June 28, 2005 Report Share Posted June 28, 2005 Check the battery cable connections, especially the small positive red wires, they supply power to the fuel injection system. Check for corroded or broken crimped terminals.If that's not the problem, then the fuel pump relay is acting up, replace it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Good idea about cooling it down inside.
