Slater
Anyone know anything about some sort of stock chassis brace that C70s have?Any pics or info? I searched VADIS, asked FCP, and a few others and came up with zilch.
Volvoboi24
it was a option from the factory I believe, its a Volvo original part so I'm sure you can order it through your dealer... I dont have the part number on me but I can look for you tomorrow.

This is NOT the optional Volvo strut tower brace.I found out about it because someone with an 850 claims to have an OMP strut brace and a "C70 chassis brace". Supposedly this thing was for the front, because the guy says he would like a rear strut brace but no one makes one (yet ;0)

It was junk though...
AnthonyR
Yeah, I see them on most of the C70 convertibles that come into the dealership. It's two pieces, one end of each connect to the rear part of the subfram bolts and they meet in the center on the front.Yeah, I just looked thru VADIS and didn't see it anywhere. Interesting. Slater
OK, found it in VADIS (colored in red). So which one of the 2 is "100 lbs of junk"?

I saw one for the rear. That does not look very beefy though. Then again nothing does in 2d.
AnthonyR
no, it's not beefy, and not very tightly put on either
Chris_R
Looks like something that could be 'beefed' maybe? Some nice poly bushings might be a nice touch too.
