jross
Doesnt it make more sense for the plate to be dimpled in some fashion, if the issue is flow dynamics then that would be advantagous slightly en-even surface, like a dimples will flow better than smooth←One word: vortices
Ping138
what ..... will be created under the car??? Im not talking about large divits, merely a less smooth surface for better air flow. Two words: golf balls!?!

Two words: golf balls!?!←That's how the Lexus LS430's are. My uncle always has to show off his newest toy, or his wife's in this case, but anyways.... there are little dimples all over the bottom of the car that are supposed to improve aerodynamics. Autotechnica
Good job. I actually created my own aluminum undertray on my tracked BMW as well. Remember that when you create undertrays that you want to seal off any pits or holes. For instance, if you cover off the front and rear part only with the aluminum undertrays and leave the middle section open, you will actually create more drag since the airflow will enter the pits you have created. You have to seal off the entire underside of the body for it to work properly, just like Ferrari does.I can't see if you've done that in your pics, got any full underbody shots? JTD gave up on the idea of creating a full undertray for my car and decided to only seal off the front end (from the front bumper to the front sway bar). Sealing off the front only will do some good.picyBry
prasamin
so this isn't just an IPD skid plate type of deal?
StickThatClutch
so this isn't just an IPD skid plate type of deal?←Skid plate only covers the oilpan and is full of holes. I doubt it has any tangible aero qualities. None that I've noticed.
