Veneficus
Just to throw out another question... what is a good low dust pad? I have the Volvo ones and they absolutely suck, I hate them.
Denverv70
I have Brembos and Zimmermans x drilled, I can't remember which ones I put on the front and which ones I put on back with the PBR pads. I go throught the Colorado mountains from east to west twice a month and go down hill pretty fast. I am very pleased with the performance, no problems. RAzOR
Seems like I would be better off sticking with OEM brembos considering that I only use the car for commuting. If anyone has any recommendations where to get them, I interested in hearing them.←Brembos work fine for me. I like stock pads becuase they are silent. Everything else I have tried, PBR metals, PBR Ultimates can be loud. With them I can stun small animals near the front of my car when I brake. I may be changing my opinion of the Ultimates though. I have had them for about two months now and they recently quieted up somehow.
EMDII
Just to throw out another question... what is a good low dust pad? I have the Volvo ones and they absolutely suck, I hate them.←My 850 TW wears EBC Greens and they are relatively low-dust. I have Mintex Red Box on my TT, and they are very low-dust. Socal
Jaxx, how long have you had your powerslots? I'm curious to know how long they hold up for. I can't afford to be replacing rotors too often.
djscoggins
About 3k miles ago I bought a kit off of ebay from FCP and they let me get zimmerman rotors f/r and mintex pads f/r and some brake grease for $208.00 and i also got free shipping on all of it. The OEM pads i removed were worn out and the squeaked all the time... the mintex pads i have noticed, have much less dust, but do not feel like they bite as hard as the OEM pads did. But over all im happy with the purchase.
prasamin
I'll sell you my OEM front and rear rotors and pads for CHEAP. I can bring them to the meet if you "commit" to buying them!! They have been used, but have ALOT of life left. rotors need resurfacing, but I'll sell CHEAP!!!
viperman135
Just my 2 cents. A few weeks ago I put on some MORSE-CERAMIC pads. So far they are like the coolest thing ever. I mean that in two ways the work better than stock and tend to run cooler( i have this little lazer temp gun). Also if you do not want dust I highly recomend these. There is NO dust!! My front wheels are clean and my back are black ( will try to get a pic) If anyone is interested they are at auto zone for 50 bucks.
maiku
do they make noise though?lots of non volvo brakes make noisesome users have been blessed with their aftermarket brakes being quieti just had my fronts replaced today with all stock parts(yeah, stock is bad, but i work at volvo and get a wicked discount on all the parts, so what the heck)and i'm selling the car in a few months, so performance wasn't necessaryand stock pads are great if you want a quiet ride. they dust, but they brake
