Che'_Moderator
where does it say that ? I only see the 420 hp stage 2 kit . . . .←Because they cater to people who do not want to do any real engine work perse. For the engines I have sold for them they charge parts=machine shop labor+900 dollars. The cost to the machine shop is 500-1000 depending on what you have done. So figure the max 1000+4k in parts+ 900. Right around 6k you can get a pretty nice engine that will put 400hp to the ground.

matt1122
I'd say it's a good car, no problems to make it not worth buying. Consider the V70 though. Maybe you aren't a huge fan of wagons, but in my opinion the utility (space) is worth the drop in speed. Also, I've heard the V50 is more stable than the S40. I'm not sure if this is true for the S60/V70, but based on how my V70 XC handles itself I'd say there's a good chance it is.

Nebor
and less reliability.←Reliability isn't expected in a European car. I've had several Volvos, none of them have been reliable. None of my BMWs either.
