ROB @ VMS
Since i now have another car that is really fun to drive i can stand to not drive the volvo and really get the correct tuning and boost control down. Since mike has experiance with this ems in volvo cars i am going to choose the Nira system. More or less its going to be how the ems is installed and if i can keep the main functions of the High speed part of the Me7 networks as well as the low speed side of it while having the NIRA unit installed. The power of a full standalone should be well worth it now and i will continue to keep tuning the car. Important as well is the tech support i will get with this unit. ROB @ VMS
No questions really just something new to talk about i guess. Been stuck on the S2000 for a couple weeks now, time to go back to tuning the volvo.
ROB @ VMS
Mike we talked about the Nira system havinga special me7 function that would keep the stock computer systeming functioning but not actually doing anything. That way all the electronics in the car would function right. The issue i want to adress is can i still obtain obd2 info. If not then i have to reg the car out of this county because of emissions and i dont know if i can do that. Then the car would not be street legal. So do take this volvo as a track only car or do whatever i can to keep it street legal.

Sorry. We don´t have the OBD check here, only emission check in the tailpipe. Niklas: Thanks! You´re probably the only US VS member that really knows what a Nira looks like.Remember, next visit, faster car! /Mike
