Winter Mode Scared Me!

Had a close call this weekend. I accidentally hit the winter mode button on a 90 degree day and thought my transmission was going on me. Thankfully it did not.

I had replaced a 93 850GLT transmission before and it feels a bit like winter mode when it is overheating. I know, I know, the up arrow should have given it away but I half expect the tranny to go on this car since my previous tranny required replacement.

I hope I am not the only one to have ever done this.

When I first test drove my car, it was in winter mode. I noticed the arrow, but at the time I didn't have a clue what it was for. I kept thinking this car is a dog, but after a few minutes I pushed the winter button and it shut off. The car was totally transformed. I think I made the sales guy nervous when I tested the cornering ability on a sweeping onramp. :)

my mom thought the car was dying when her purse hit the button by mistake and she saw the arrow but still drove the car

it helps to RTFM

the only indications things are bad is if the arrow starts FLASHING
