RickSc
I took the Volvo/Alpine 6-CD changer & bracket out of my '98 V70 before selling it. I've got it mounted in my '95 850 wagon, in the left rear "mini wheel well". It's only mounted, awaiting installation of the DIN cable and connecting to power. I'll run the DIN cable down the left side of the cabin, under the carpet, but I'm clueless about where to pick up power for the unit since the '95 lacks the built-in power connector that the '98 has.Does the Alpine changer require a HU-switched power source, or does it use a supply that is switched by the position II of the ignition switch? I don't want to connect it to a 12V source that will turn the player on whenever the key is on. Does the head unit switch the CD player via the DIN cable? Any sage advice would be appreciated. RickSc
Found info I needed on Brickboard. Simple fix, as I now know I need an always-onpower source.
