Yeah.  It lets you install big brakes. :P

Also if you widen front you correct the cars balance issues.

I replied earlier but my reply didnt go through. But I'm on the big brake issue. I currenty have columbas and the fcp bbrake doesnt work. i didnt think of spacers Do you know of a spacer that would work with those wheels?? I would presume 15mm would clear since i had them on with the brakes (didnt think of spacers at the time) The columbas would only turn 1/4 turn at the best. I've been hunting pegs (17") but having abit of trouble - mid summer I guess. So when you mentioned spacers for big brakes you made my day. I need to get the bb on since my old brakes are like soo bad. All temp cuz those pegs are on my list :)

To use the H&R 10 mm (per wheel) hubcentric spacers, you need longer bolts. I assume that wheel locks will also have to be changed?

Will the S70 T5 (which seems to have flared fenders compared to base model S70) need to have its fenders trimmed? I someone doubt it from the photos I posted recently. The fronts are lined up great from the factory, but I think the rears need to be kicked out for sure and ther seems to be plenty of space to do it. Suggestions swededemonII?

You could try the H&R spacers. I don't know if they are available in your area. I think George@VPTuning could help you with this.

When I compare with my S70 is looks like the front fenders are wider one way or the other..

Rims are 18" Pegs which have the same ET and width as the 17".

Camber front is -1.2º

I'm going to use the 10 mm spacers, per side, in the rear but I'm missing 2 bolts..

Johann, I've noticed that the wheel base on the rears of the FWDs are narrowing in comparison to the AWD. The rear stance of the is SO much more different and wider than that of the of the T5.

Yep, AWD uses wider rear axle which appears to be moved to the middle of the car a bit also..

A local rally team is doing some testing this winter. They converted the Multilink to an AWD setup with the diff and stuff removed. It appears as if the car, an 850T5 FWD, might have a better balance.

Last year another team changed their 850 to an S60. Basically they only used the shell and transferred all the part from the 850 to the S60 except for the suspension. The S60 FWD's rear axle is very similar to the older AWD rear axle and the car shows a much better balance. It is a weird thing to see a distributer driven ignition on an S60 though...

Thanks Johann,

So the wheel locks, logically, are going to be rendered useless. And they're such great locks, too (from IPD, German Made). Any suggestions otherwise? I know some cats don't use locks on their rims 'cause we're not the Honda crowd (ghetto stealing from each other), but I'd much rather keep my Nero's and Pegagsus' hardware :pizza:

Thanks for the reply again swededemonII. When I saw your photos of the car, I thought you already had the spacers on from the way the car was tucking - I suppose it's the 18s and coilovers (cars always seem to have better stance with coilovers)

I've been thinking about doing this very thing! Only thing is what would I do for the suspension in the rear as there isn't crap out there.
