Slater
OK, I thought only 94 and 95 US market cars had the EGR. So I check VADIS on the 96 and 97 850 and it says the EGR is on those too. What's the scoop?
Bay13
Never seen EGR on 1996 or 1997.

Slater
Never seen EGR on 1996 or 1997.←That's what I thought too. But if you pull up 96 and 97 850 in VADIS all the info is there.Wierd!OK, next question. Did any years have an intake air temperature sensor (IAT)? I know 95 does not - the closest thing is the EGR temperature sensor (and coolant of course). I thought the IAT sensor was an ODB-2 standard, but again in VADIS I cannot find mention of the IAT sensor on 96 or 97 850.

spottieottie
I would like to know this also as it seems that MY '98 has EGR or something, which really pissed me off. Becuase now I am wondering what to do about a downpipe. I know some 98's had EGR because FCP has a part which differs between EGR/equipped or non-EGR equipped cars. I also know my car has the SAS valve thing which i think is for the EGR, okay i figured out it isn't for the EGR but for the SAS.Lemme see if I can find it, okay here it is: scroll down to the bottomFCP Grotonnew question, what do i do about the SAS/ air pump line that goes from the SAS to the stock downpipe if I want to get an aftermarket downpipe? Slater
No IAT sensor.←So not IAT for any year? That's odd. How is the ECM correcting for temperature in the air mixture since that affects air density?
