DouginDenver
I need to change my oil to synthetic. Is the crush washer I need for my drain plug a commonly abailable item at places like Checker and Auto Zone? NAPA? If not, is it a dealer only item? If there are different sizes, does anybody know what it takes so I don't have to pull it before I go to the store? I need an aluminum one, right? tenn850
Aluminum is correct. Dealer sells it for less than a dollar. The last time the parts guy mailed me two in a letter.

They were happy and i was happy.BobPS I tried reusing one of these washers once, all I got was a slow annoying leak!

The washers are so cheap you should ALWAYS get them. They are NOT reusable, or atleast not made to be. It's just one of those cheap things that will help you avoid a headache in the long run!
