PyROTech
so, what i have always wondered is a coin with 2 sides. When we "canadians" have a media ban on criminal court trials that the us can see the stuff but in canada its blacked out. But then when we see the reports of the britsh bombs we are advised not to relay any information to our american counterparts? And the videos we see are blocked from every us tv stations, so all americans are not allowed to see what other tv stations around the world see? As americans, are you mad you arent allowed to see other tv reports, or videos of the actual events? Does it both you that when you get the delay about world events to the US? or it has tobe censored before you read it and dont actually get the whole story? Che'_Moderator
.... Radio free USA!!!With the internet and the widespread use of satellites I am not so sure that holds true anymore. Well it still holds true, but not due to censorship. More like americans are just so us-centric.

There is plenty of censorship on the TV news and in the newspapers, which sucks, but it's not like we can't go read the BBC or whatever other publications we feel like. While much of this would still be possible without the internet, it would be MUCH more difficult.

turboV70
I honestly havn't watched the news for atleast 2 months. I just get my news online which I think is censored less. Are we really missing out on that much anyway? No news is good news IMO.
jross
The American news media practices corporate censorship. I don't think that should be a surprise to anyone. Those who care get their news elsewhere (hint: BBC streams online, amongst other major international news networks). nogoat: you don't want to live in Canadia. It's full of Canucks and wanna-be-Frenchmen. Trust me on this.. Australia is where it's at. Oh yea.
nogoat
i'm very unpleased with this Mr. Bush character. I don't like war, i don't like how the media makes people think war is the only way. Why did we go after Saddam? What ever happend to Bin Laden, did we forget about that guy? I'm confused on what we're doing. Is it right? Why do we start wars? I just want to go snowboarding and drive my Volvo.

We're talking about a populace with the average intelligence & attention span of a brain-damaged mentally retarted monkey with ADHD after smoking a reefer. It's so sad to see a country with such potenital be wasted by such a populace.
