Greenchunks
What are the differences between the two? the 816 is from an S70, and the 815 was the premium one in the 850's, right? Also, if I was to purchase one of these, could I add an aftermarket amp to power new speakers, etc. (mainly, can I use this as my deck if I want to doa whole system in the car, but keep it looking stock?) turbomoose
Actually, I just sold the 815... so I need to update the post. And the differences are the 815 is 4x20W, and the 816 is newer, and is 4X25W. You can add an amp to either of these HU's. There is an amp out line on the back of both. And somewhere on here I've seen a write up of the amp hookup. There's even an adapter wire somewhere on here that plugs right into the back of the HU and gives you amp outputs and turn on leads... things like that. You can also get the stock amp from a 850T-5R or an 850R. I think the S/V 70's had the amps too.Which sounds really nice with the stock speakers. Let me know if you have more questions. Ill try my very best at getting back to you ASAP.-Nathan
