Veneficus
First what model are you working with and do you have a manual or automatic temp control. Since you can't push it out from the back I'm betting its a manual. Here is how to remove a manual. First take off the 3 knobs and then remove the faceplate by removing the 3 phillips screws. Carefully take off the faceplate and then you should have full access to the bulbs. :D

Serge
Take out the radio and rest it on the shift knob. Stick your hands behind the climate control and push it out. It'll come right out.

Serge
That's quite odd. What I did was push with one hand and keep my other hand on the face of the climate control. This way I didn't have to worry about it popping out into uncontrollably.

(what I thought is..if it isn't clip lock, wouldn't it just fall off?)

850drag
did you check already disconnect the wiring front the rear of the unit? do you have a thin puddy knift? if you do try taking the knift and sliding it between the unit and the dashslide it all around the face of the unit, this will tell you if its caught on something. good luck
