Man, so glad we drive safe cars. Whenever I mention that I drive a volvo, everyone assumes I'm just a safety consious guy, which I am, but it's not the main reason. That wreck, though it looks terrible, shows how well these cars are built, I mean it looks like the back seat wasn't really affected, and that your dog is doing pretty well after seeing that rear end is just a miracle. Definately get a new volvo, write to volvo and get inducted into the "Volvo saved my life" club.

Hey man... I don't want to be an asshole, but your wife is very pretty. CONGRATULATIONS... see out of some bad things there are very good things. You and your wife will raise volvo loving kids :) haha

Best wishes!

-Joe

p.s. we are all invited to the wedding right?!

p.s.s You should grab the turbo and the other things from your car you put in, quick. That way you can make her all over again!

wow that really makes me cringe, not because of the totaled volvo, but the fact that most wagons come with those 3rd row seats (I know mine had one), that picture pretty much sums up why it was removed from my car.

/edit - on a lighter note, you remind me of Martin Sargent:

He used to be a talkshow host on TechTV.

This is a reason why i should never ride in the YJ (Wrangler) on the interstate. The rear seat is <6inches from the bumper. Plus, the lap belt is bolted to the frame, and the seat is not. You would be crushed between the seat, other car, and seatbelt. In an accident like that, had it been my jeep... i'd be dead.

When i was little, my parents were driveing the '82 DL on the interstate, when something fell out of the pickup in front of us. We swerved and spun off the road onto the shoulder, hitting one other car and a roadsign. Didn't total the car, or US!! THANK GOD FOR VOLVOS!

Glad you and yours are alright! B)

I'm glad to hear that a Volvo has saved the lives of you and your (now) fiancee. You should submit your accident to the "Volvo Saved My Life Club" that is on Volvo's website. I'm one of the few folks who owes their live to Volvo. Keep us in contact when you both get your new bricks!
