Adam Franke
In my other computer, I can do CDs at either 52x or 32x, I forget which is which. On this laptop however, I have a "SuperDrive" that does them at a whopping 16x. At least it burns every type of media that I can think of that'll fit in it. I have the SC-813 (no CD built in) but with my Alpine/OEM changer I had, never had a problem.
JoshV70
I tried to play burned cd's in my 816, and they wouldn't play . I have a Volvo 6 disc changer in the glovebox and the burned cd's play fine in there.
C70drvr
In the SC900+ they don't play burned CDs very well. Some not at all. :(
javadoc
I burn at all speeds, I have the 815 though and Ive never had a problem←Same here, on both my 815 and now my 816. You may want to not use generic disks though. I've noticed they're a bit finicky that way, but you can find name-brand disks for next to nothing if you're buying a spool of 100. PyROTech
i burn them at 48x, found that its the cd that determines if they play. I just the other day before my trip to the canada meet burned several cd's but on a different blank cd than i usually use and all of the didnt work. Then i tried some other ones and they also didnt work. I have found only one kind for me that works on all my different cd players and car's cd players. ZTY S70
OEM headunit. I burn at 16x because the player will sometimes eject / reject anything burned faster and will especially skip over bumps. Any media works, but 16x max is the key.

Shearer
Hey Kevin, I have tried 16x-52x, they all work man, so no worries. Bring a small flashlight, a small screwdriver, and a toothpick or something though. Just in case this happens.

javadoc
Yeah, that happened on my 816. If you're using a small enough screwdriver, you can use the screwdriver to do the reset. Five mins and you're back into the music.
