Service Light

Service light on my 03 s40 came on, any one know how to clear it? the last time dealer did it but i missed what they did, Any help would be great to get my wife off my arse

Put the ignition key in position I

With your left hand, push in and hold the trip odometer button.

Turn the key to position II.

When the service light blinks, release the odometer reset button.

Done.

You do that to me all the time after I type it out ;)

There is a link but it's for all the cars and hard to actually find or know if it's for the S40 so it was easier just to type it. I think I'm going to make the resetting of service lights one of the first videos, cover them all.

I like to follow steps 1-3 but at 4 I start the engine and release the button. Most of the time you'll here a beeping noise as confirmation.
