CaliS80T6
00 S80 Turbo modelHave a front end clunk that appears to settle itself itself out after 10-miles. There is no slop in the steering and no tire vibration. Possibly the stabilizer bushings? Noise in coming from under the left front, feels like it is right under the driver's dead pedal. jbuck
A clunk when you go over the bumpies? Spring seat?I had a minor one recently that was a missing front caliper retaining spring. That was a quiet metallic clunk.

Was the right strut/spring seat (part $33, labor@indy $75) They said the left strut/spring seat was cracked too. No clunk there yet.
CaliS80T6
Well finally had enough and took it to the professionals. WOW, that hurt.Turns out the bushings went out and the struts needed to be rebuilt. 1100 all total but it is good to have it back on the road. Had this awful tire hum too. Hopefully it was due to the lug nuts being on so tight. WOW, almost had to crank up the pressure on the compressor to get them off.
the underlørd
the struts needed to be rebuilt. ←? new Koni shocks are only 600 for all 4 for your car. they seriously "fixed" your stock ones? jeez man.

How tight your tires are shouldn't create a humming noise. Please put your location into your profile :)
stu.f
I have this problem as well, replaced lower ball joint, and have bilsitens on as well, and the sway bar bushings seem to be fine as well.
Nebor
I have a similar problem. I hear a low rumple...followed by a metallic 'squink'... ...followed by a mysterious...'glonk.'
mikie
I was getting some strange noises every once in a while, then I installed slater's end links everything went away. I was told that end links would constantly make poping noises but mine went and came...
