Xero
Hi, guys and girls. I have a 2002 S40. Here is my issue. When I am accelerating, I here a moaning sound coming from under the hood. It seems to be coming from the passenger side, but I can't be 100% sure. I have recently installed a Dawes boost controller and I am set at 10 psi. Could this be the culprit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TorqueSteer
Is the performance affected in any way? If you think that the Dawes is the culprit, remove it and see what happens.
maiku
does it sound like anything is rubbing against something?
Xero
I re-routed the b/c and no difference. I am not sure if it is something rubbing, but it sounds like a cow "mooing". It only happens when I am under boost and hard acceleration.
Xero
Also, performance does not seem to be affected. However, I have gone from 27 mpg to 20 mpg.

Xero
I fixed the whole boost controller problem, but I think that it is the charge pipes leaking, so I will try to tighten them down and see.
