DouginDenver
My owners manual says my car takes 6.1 quarts of oil with filter, but to add another .75 or so if the oil cooler is drained. So am I supposed to drain the oil cooler when changing the oil, and if so, where is the the drain plug?

Bay13
I've actually tried this in the shop, with a lift and a good knowlege of how to take the clamps off the oil cooling lines where it goes into the radiator for cooling, and I got about 1/2 of a cup out of there, so my conclusion is that it's not worth the time or effort to drain the oil cooler.
