DouginDenver
I don't know if all Volvos have them, or if they are unique to C70s, but beneath the switches for the power seats is what looks like a red plastic "pull tab." It clips onto the bottom of the trim piece the seat buttons are mounted in. It's odd shaped on one end, almost like it is supposed to hold something round. I cannot see any function is serves. What the heck is it?
Bay13
The red pull handle is for a person in the back seat to pull to allow the seat to move forward so they can get out.
DouginDenver
No, I don't mean that red vinyl pull loop under the seats near the center console on the back of each seat. Though I find those useless, I know what they are for. This is a platic piece that really does look like a pop can pull tab - slightly larger, but not much. It is right below the seat swtiches - to see it you need to remove that trim peice or look with a mirror under the seat. The red pull handle is for a person in the back seat to pull to allow the seat to move forward so they can get out.←
slarti
I believe that is the safety for the side impact air bags. Its supposed to go on the sensor so that you dont accientally trigger the air bag while working on the seat.

Bay13
Ya thats what it is. It's suppose to be clipped to the back side of where your seat switches are, and when you take off the switches, you put that protector over the ignitor.
