jl2
I have been trying to reset the routine svc engine light on my 03 S80. I recorded the procedure told to me by the dealer, as follows: hold trip reset while turning key to position 1, and trip zeros, then returns, then start car. I have tried every possible permutation of this sequence, but I can't get the Darn light to go away. What am I doing wrong? Please help!!!
MrWinkey
Position 1 push and hold trip odo. it zeros...turn to position 2 (dash lights come on) continue to hold trip odo in until service light flashes when flashing start car and release trip odo. Then I usually shut car off and restart light should not be on ;)

I've tried your suggestion every possible way I can think of, but thanks for the suggestion. Any other ideas?

On my car, the procedure is as follows: turn key to pos 1. Hold trip odo button to zero. Turn key to pos 2. When warning triangle in speedo cluster (ooh, I hope that doesn't offend anyone) starts flashing, release trip odo. Presto! Thanks for the help.
