Xm Or Sirius?

I have both and strongly prefer XM. But its very subjective. I'm an old guy and like less popular music- jazz, blues and XM's Hear Music station, the music of Starbucks. Listened to that all the way across country a few months ago.

Sirius has an excellent Chill/electronic/trance channel tha I listen to at work.

I have an Eclipse deck now, and I have had real good sucess with Eclipse.

I was just wanting some feedback on this deck.

I have been wanting to upgrade to satellite for some time now, and I bought the Alpine for that reason because Eclipse didn't offer satellite.

Eclipse now does so I was just wondering.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but whay are all these aftermarket units so UGLY? It's as if they are trying to make them as cheesy as possible so I won't buy them.

Here's what I'm seeking: A high powered HU (I dont want to use and external amp) that will drive my upgraded speakers and have a aux input for the iPod and be XM controlling. If I had my preference, it would b black- knobs and all.

I understand I might have to use a single din and a din pocket, which is bad enough, but I want a clean XM installation.

Anyone have a suggestion? No video screens, no flashing graphs, no pulsating lights- something that fits nicely into the interiors of the 850.

Thanks, and please resume the thread now.

one thing to point out:

there is no such thing as higher powered headunits, there is weak headunits, and weaker headunit lol pretty any of them, if you can get remotely close to 20-25 watts at some horrid thd, its a "powerful" headunit :)

for you needs, look no further than a nakamichi unit, www.nakamichi.com
