Right, so drove 50-60 miles up to Immackolee (1/8th mile track) to see some dragging...as I'm turning in to the entrance my car drops on the right side...I'm like stuff, tire blew out (new tires). I walked around and see that :o HOLY monkey :o the axle/steering was torn out of the transmission itself and the car had fallen onto my wheel damaging the fender heavily. Seems that the ball joint failed and when that came undone it tore out the axle/steering. I'll try to take some pictures tommorow, but yeah. New axle, w/e is associated with steering there, ball joint assembly or w/e, and lots of work on that fender. SWEET. There goes the turbo swap and custom manifold this week...

OEM. What is it, is that the bolt on the ball joint came out and the ball joint came off and in the turn I guess it tore out the axle. I'll go and really look it over and give you the final diagnosis later today. I'm glad, well not glad...to see that this isn't as freak of an accident and other people have had it happen too...at least I have others information to go on :(

J

All the people this happened to, no one got hurt right? Had I been doing more than 15 it would've been bad.

you didnt notice any slop/crappy driveability?

No, everything was perfect right up until than. That's why I thought I hit a nail or something and blew the tire out 'cause there was nothing leading up to it. The bolt must've came out...and the ball joint just happened to stay in until BAM.

Me

The bolt on your ball joint came out, ball joint came out and it torn out your axle too???

My parents are taking the car, blaming me (saying it's my fault for modifying the car), etc. etc. etc. even though that was never monkeyed with nor my fault in any way... <_<

So I need some backup to show this has happened to others

edit: could this be moved to performance, 'cause the powa did this.
