If this is happening how come there wasn't a Volvo recall, or noted problem with this?

edit: I mean if this happened on the highway, people would die.

Right, so drove 50-60 miles up to Immackolee (1/8th mile track) to see some dragging...as I'm turning in to the entrance my car drops on the right side...I'm like stuff, tire blew out (new tires).  I walked around and see that :o HOLY monkey :o the axle/steering was torn out of the transmission itself and the car had fallen onto my wheel damaging the fender heavily.  Seems that the ball joint failed and when that came undone it tore out the axle/steering.  I'll try to take some pictures tommorow, but yeah.  New axle, w/e is associated with steering there, ball joint assembly or w/e, and lots of work on that fender.  SWEET.  There goes the turbo swap and custom manifold this week...

Holy stuff!

Maybe a clutch while your there would be a good idea before doing a turbo. ;)

Shitty about the fender, ball joint and axle

Yeah, gonna try to work a R clutch in there since Volvo almost got me killed...SACHs plate a little later.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with flogging it from time to time eh? It just broke by it's self?  ;)

...waste my time more.

There was a factory recall on S70/V70s in 2000. Never was notified of it while car was under warranty.

Thanks steve, lots of help. :D Apparently, there was no recall for North American cars...but in Europe, Australia, etc. there was for this. So it'd be meaningless if not for the fact that my car was special ordered from Sweden as E-Spec and they swapped over things like the US spec corners, etc. to make it work and consequently, it'd fall under that European recall >_< .
