NUFAN Posted August 13, 2005 Report Share Posted August 13, 2005 Here's the final information regarding ticket sales and the club corral parking from VCOA president Lee Cordner on this exciting racing event. last year we were treated to a tour of the volvo AtSpeed pit area and were able to meet AtSpeed drivers Jameson Riley and Derek Bell along with being treated great by volvo cars of north america. This year should be just as exciting!If you are going to be in the area, the race will be taking place the day after the Santa Cruz VS gathering. More information on that event can be found here:Santa Cruz VS BBQFrom Lee: I have just concluded negotiating with Laguna Seca for the club corral for the Speed GT race in October. We will get discount tickets and there will be a Volvo Club Corral in the infield. The S60Rs have been much more competitive recently. They put on a fine show at Sears Point and finished 5th at Portland last week. Here are the details: Date: Sunday, October 16Ticket Price: $20 per person ($30 at the gate)Club Corral Parking: $10 per carClub Corral parking will not be available at the gate. If you wish to park in the corral, you’ll need to buy tickets, through the club, in advance.I need to buy the tickets no later than Friday September 16th. If you are interested in going to the races, you’ll need to get me a check prior to then.Make check payable to NBVCOA and send to Lee Cordner313 Point San Pedro Rd.San Rafael, CA 94901Be sure to include the number of tickets and the number of parking passes you will need. Also include a current return address so that I can mail the tickets back to you.You don’t have to be a Volvo Club of America member to participate, but it would be great if you were. I wish I could come by the park on Saturday, but I have other committmens. Have fun.Let me emphasize that you don't have to be a VCOA member to take advantage of the discount ticket deal. You are all more than welcome. I do have a hard stop on buying tickets of September 16. You'll need to get me money by then to have access to the corral parking and the discount.
