Burgundy_850
I put mine under the armrest, there's even an easy way to snake a wire up through a hole in that thing you can take out. It works great, easy to change tracks except if you have to look at it.. well it could easily lead to an accident
nagrod18
yeah that's my main concern, that accident thing. and seeing as I am a college student with no money I don't feel like going out and buying a new head unit.
gohornedfrogs
Go to www.panavise.com. They have some great mounts custom made for every model Volvo -- or any other car for that matter. It's under the "Cellular" section, InDash by Panavise. They cost about $25. You might be able to find one on eBay, too, for less. They have some "flexmount" products, too, that are great.I have my iPod connected to my headunit via the auxillaury input. But I want to mount it. Any ideas? I was thinking of mounting it in the ashtray, but that'd be a pain to use.←
Superpuma
a universal bracketron bracket might look OK in there, they even have some with iPod mounts... screws into the inside of the radio cavity , may even make that metra pocket stay in there a little better

Veneficus
I'm planning on buying this mount when it is released and running power / audio cords through the flex head.
crazykn
My iPod w/ a metal case, sits in the cupholder perfectly (easily reachable). But then again that isn't going to help, because you can't see the display unless you pick it up. It's okay for me, because I run a Blitzsafe AUX (not iPod) Adapter with a cable that reaches that area perfectly. I though of fabricating a holder for the A-Piller, but was concerned about window visibility.
nagrod18
Last night I realized my iPod dock has a headphone style output on the back. I decided to mount the dock using industrial strength velcro, to my dash, above the middle vents. I also ordered the stuff I need to charge my iPod in my car, I got a 6 ft chord and the cig. power adapter for like $8 combined. I will run the power just like I did the audio cable, but I haven't decided if I will plug into the cig. outlet or tap into a 12 V source behind the dash. I know this isn't the cleanest install or prettiest, but it was cheap as hell, in my line of sight, and if I think of a better way, nothing I did is perminant. Figawi
that is really cool ^as for the ipod holder, i bought a car docking station designed for ipods. here is a pic of iti need to install a second cigarette outlet because the shifter gets in the way of this unit. but it works great (at least until i can figure out how to wire it to my OEM head unit) as it is now it plays through your radio stations and charges the player at once. i got it on eBay for around $30 shipped. nagrod18
that does look cool, but I'd like to have both my vents functional. Also I've heard the transmitters don't sound all that great, is it true? I prefered having my iPod connected directly to the HU for this reason.
