Nebor
I have to repair my or replace my ECM. Considering a repair and chipping. Is there any real change in performance?←Massive change in performance. A chipped S80 T6 is a freeway monster and a tire shredder.Too much torque for the platform in stock form, but the top end power you'll pick up will be crazy. But what do you mean "repair the ECU" ? medicT5
400 ft/lbs ??? Darn... i knew volvo's could make some power, but thats massive amounts of torque.... my 67 mustang with a 390ci makes 427 ft/lbs in stock form (closer to 500 now ) im glad im jumped to the volvo life..... i know the hp on an S70 is 236, what about torque for that ? So its a $1000.00 repair at the dealer or fix it myself and add a little. The important part of this equation is the immoblizier info on the ECM board. Seems there are only a few places that do this. R4Life
Doesnt the s80T6 have a horrible transmission. From what I've heard a chip or modified ECU will decrease your transmission life considerably.
