Bay13 Posted August 20, 2005 Report Share Posted August 20, 2005 By using the Volvo Scan Tool (VST) you can do a damper motor cal, check for stored codes. If you have ECC, which is Electronic Climate Control. you have ECC if your right and left temp dials have numbers on them, if not then you have MCC. Manual Climate Control. If it's MCC, you could have a cable problem, or the controller thats inback of the face panel, it has all kinds of plastic cams that move the wires that go to the dampers. Or you could have a broken shaft that is suppose to move the flaps.So do you have MCC or ECC. Do you have a Volvo shop that has a Volvo Scan tool? rodrigo Posted August 20, 2005 Author Report Share Posted August 20, 2005 I have ECC because the climate control has the numbers....62-78, i think.So, I'm not sure what to do...I do not have a VST, but the shop i go to has one. However, i would rather not go there if i am going to try and do it myself. The guy there is really cool, and does very good work...i've been going there for years and always get the car back clean, fixed, and they are not too expensive, but most importantly ive never had to go back to get the same thing repaired again. so i dont want to piss the guy off because he's professional, and a pretty cool guy.maybe i should get a VST....i dont even know how much those are...its a little hand held, right?
