I search and found some good info but not enough to satisfy my needs. I ordered the Darkened Jewel kit from Vptuning and want to add Xenon 9006 HID kit to it. Was wondering if it will work and will i have to do some extra moding to the lights?

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...LRG-Results.htm

Found that site listing what bulbs I can get and was thinking the 9006CB and the 9005CB Blue Halogen Low and high beams, will these work?

I searched for a place to buy them but cant find one with a good discription of the product, were have you guys boughten yours?

Or should i just not even bother and leave the headlights with their led's?

Thanks alot for the help!

Hi Johnny. We have boughten ours from a variety of sources. Ebay has quite a selection of HID kits, Kevin aka '98S70R can get them, and jamaica2G also has them. Expect to spend around $240-$350 + shipping for a complete conversion kit (price depends on brand used etc.). The correct fitment for your lights is H1 base, and I recommend 7000k or less temperment.

Thanks alot Guys! I was expecting to pay alot more than that! sweet price, a lot of the posts i got when i searched sayed expect to pay 500+, i was like

PMing now

Yes, the darkened jewels are H1, both high and low beam. The regular jeweled headlights have an option of either H1 or 9006/9005.

The only modifications I made to install the HIDs was to use a 5/8" hole saw to put a hole in the access caps. That allows you to run the wires through and use the included gromet to seal the hole up.

I tap the power for the HIDs from outside the headlight housings, which you can also see in that picture.

So do the unused H1 plugs just flutter about in the housings, or did you secure them to something? :)

There are just 2 wires that aren't connected. The grounds are connected, although they don't do anything. The power wires are shielded, so they won't short.

If it comes to having a choice in the future, remember this. 9006 DOT halogen bulbs produce 1000 Lumens @ 55w and H1 55w produce 1550 Lumens. This point is null and void for HID D2S, which are 3200 Lumens regardless of base.

Edit: Lumens = light output of bulb
