DenDog220
Hi Mr. Kelley..This is my first post on volvospeed forum, please bear with me.I have been a member of the S40Concept.net, and joined Volvospeed forum a while back.I recently hit the right rear wheel on a curb and damaged the alighment. After replacing one trailing arm, the wheel seems to look like the way it was, but when the repair shop tried to set up the alighment, they found that the upper part of the wheel still doesn't come out enough. In then end they inserted two pieces of metal "sheets" behind two of the swrews to make the upper "arm" comes out far enough, and barely met the alighment range.I am really in need of your expertise: what would be your suggestion for solving this problem? I want to repair my car back to the way it was (although the local repair shop said it's all right to leave it like this). The rear suspension assambly doesn't seem to have that many parts, what are the ones that i need to replace to fix my car? The car is constantly drifting to the right even after 2 alighment attempts...By the way, I live in Maryland, if you can tell me the location of your shop, I would like to bring my car over and let you take a look. My car is a 2000 Volvo S40 with 47500 miles on it. Car is lightly tuned and has KW coilovers.Looking forward to your response.Sincerely,Den

My car stays more in a straight line now, even though it still drifts to the right a bit... I guess it's all my careless fault that run it into the curb...Thank you again, and hope to see u in the near future~!Sincerely,Dennis
Bay13
Glad to help, sorry I couldn't adjust anything except the toe. your camber and caster readings are far enough off that they may be causing you problems as well.
