Malcom
It's time to replace the front brake rotors on my 99 S70 NA, using OEM parts. I presume that this car has 280mm rather than 300mm rotors. There seem to be at least 3 manufacturers to choose from: Brembo; Zimmerman; and ATE. All are about the same price. So, here are the questions: -Is 280mm the correct size for this car? -Does it make any difference which brand I choose? -Which of the three (or is there another) is the OEM manufacturer? My experience has been that they have given excellent performance.IPDUSA.com sells them.I have replace many brakes, and these Rotor outperform everytime I step on the brakes, in addition after 50,000 mile on the front they are not warpped.Sincerely,WrenchBoy
yangotang
There have been a few experiences of members having problems with Brembo rotors. We believe that there's a problem with the material used in the production of these rotors. If you want to be sure and safe, I'd say your best bet is to stick with Zimmermann. I too had the same dillema in choices before I decided. I read a number of report that indicated Zimmerman to be the preference and superior compared to the other brands. I've had it for 1 1/2 years and have been very happy. A good product and brand.
AGBullit235
I've had Zimmermans at all four corners for about 40-50k and they've been fine, brake as well as they did when new. I'm about to replace my front ones (280mm) with another pair of Z's in the next month or so.-Alex
