medicT5
my stock stereo with the dolby pro logic decided to stop playing burned cd's so i was going to replace it with an aftermarket stereo, well upon pulling the sttock system out i saw a plug in for the sub and amp and realized that I wouldn't be able to use those on the aftermarket stereo without some serious modifications so i put the stock one back in, only to have to put the radio code in which seemed simple except the radio code that was in my manual was WRONG ! does anyone else think these radio codes are lame ? i had to go the entire weekend with no strereo because of it...... the underlørd
it's an anti theft device. go to your dealer, with your VIN, and they'll give you a print out with the radio code, and the exact name of your color.
PyROZen
you might check the top of the radio and see if the code is written there. I pulled mine and it stopped working, and the chick i was with at the time said to try the code on the top. I was like "yeah right, wahtever you say" so i put it in and it worked... man she was so tickled
medicT5
problem solved... I called my local Volvo dealer and they tried to give me the same code based on the vin... it was still the wrong one so I was transeferred to parts since she said maybe I didn't have the original stereo. sure enough after giving my serial number on the radio the parts guy gave me the right code.... of interest is that he said my radio, the sc-901, was not offered in the S70 but rather the C70 and also that someone must have added an amp to my system, which I was able to confirm.... i suppose it's a good thing.....
