jpnash
I've owned my 2000 S80 T6 for a several months now, and I have been getting "DSTC Service Required" alarms intermittently. Most, but not all of the time they appear at start up, and I can clear them if I drive a short distance and restart the car. It has been occurring to me that these errors are popping up when I use the parking brake. I even saw the error pop up once just by putting the brake on before turning the car off.I'd like to get this PITA glich fixed, but don't want to be at the mercy of an over-ambitous service rep. CAn anybody lend some thoughts as to what might be casuing the problem?Thx
Bay13
A code reading is in order. Guess would be a ABS module might be having internal faults. But it could also be the brake pedal switch.
