rodrigo
i just removed the entire 'hat tray' between the rear wondow and the rear beackrest to install an OEM pull-up shade. now i just found my 3rd brake light does not work and the bulb out warning light comes on...so i replaced the bulb- nothingpulled the cover to the 3rd eye (the tray is back in place now) and the wiring is all good...i even pulled the contacts and slid tham on again to see if it was a bad contact.then i hit the metal under the tray maybe it would do something...nothing.so sudden...its weird...maybe i nicked something in the removal/'installation of the tray??? mogli
I had a similar problem after replacing the bulb. First used the voltmeter to make sure the circuit was still working then sanded the contacts to remove carbon scoring, which did the trick. You could probably skip the voltmeter check.... rodrigo
i just fixed it!it was the cintacts that are spring like mounted on the bulb holder...they were bent too far out that when you slide the bulb holder on, they would pop off track and lose contact.PS: i did use a volty!! :D
