I am in the market for an s70 and their are a few in my area that I am really considering. The only thing is that some adds say the GLT has a Turbo and the AWD has a turbo too. I was wondering if the s70 has characteristics that say its a turbo like the light or bumbers or somthing. I looked at some other car sites like MSN auto's but they dont tell what has and what dosent have a turbo. So any help would be great! Thanks alot!

Here are some adds like that -

claim its a GLT Turbo?

Claim its a AWD Turbo?

Thanks for the help!

97 850 glts have turbos... yes s70 glts all have turbos all AWD has turbos (yeah s70's )

The only thing that might be a slight giveaway... are the wheels. Another thing to look for is the turbo it self. Pop the hood open... look at the firewall of the car and look down (behind the engine) there should be a metal shield... under that is the turbo... no shield no turbo.

All S70 GLTs are turbo. The only non-turbo S70s are just plain jane S70s with no added packages.

I didn't know they made an AWD sedan.

Check my sig.

there are AWD wagons without turbos, they have "Spica's", they are a round, 5-spoke wheel. If an AWD has a turbo it has "Ariane's", a more rigid 5-spoke wheel.

im pretty sure all s70 AWD's have turbos.  All.

... I second that, and on the V70 also.

Yeah, the T5 is a little harder to find. I ran into the same issue ... LOTS of GLT's and AWD's for sale. I would say the ratio I noticed of GLT/AWD to T5 for sale was like 10:1, but wait for it ... be patient.
