Guest DougK Posted September 5, 2005 Report Share Posted September 5, 2005 Let me set you guys straight:1. It will not be a failing MAF2. Its rarely the boost gauge, maybe 1/100000000000000000003. Check the elbow at the end of hte intake. Mine recently did the same thing, I had a vac line pop off. I'd be willing to bet if you checked the vac tree, the one at the intake is probably gone. Theresa's was in terrible shape with only 78k miles. Completely split, she was missing 3-5psi as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It will not be a failing MAF←Doug, when my MAF was failing my boost would not go higher than 6 or 7 PSI and then it would leak down to about 4 or 5 PSI. after swapping in a different MAF, i actually hit 10 PSI and it leaks down to about 7 or 8 PSI now.i was told by Rich(i think it was Rich) that a MAF could cause boost to be limited. i did not get any CELs until after my car started stalling at stops and stuttering on the freeway.
